Mercedes Benz 220 A Cabriolet
Presented at the 1951 Frankfurt Motor Show, the Mercedes Benz 220 A Cabriolet represents one of the most exclusive high-end German cars of the 1950s. It was produced in both coupe and cabriolet versions, with a typically retro design but with some improvements. technical: a 2.2-liter 6-cylinder engine, safety lock and heating system.
The price, for the cabriolet version, was destined for a lucky few: it took 18,860 marks to buy it.
The restoration
An exclusive and beautiful car that unfortunately had suffered from the passage of time.
Our craftsmen have completely restored all the interiors of this Mercedes Benz 220 A Cabriolet, rebuilding the broken or worn briar parts and covering the seats and interior panels with a gray leather.
The upper profile of the dashboard, just below the windshield, had some cracks.
